History

Established in 1996 from a multi-displinary group of Sports Medicine Australia, SDA now boasts members across Australia and the world.

We recently celebrated our 15 year anniversary and commemorated with a special edition of our monthly member newsletter, FUEL, which highlighted the many achievements as well as what our past presidents are up to now - read more in the October FUEL edition

SDA also led the way in developing a Consensus Statement on Fluid and Energy replacement during exercise. While it’s a few years old, many of the principles still apply.
