The goal of this position is to enhance department expertise related to exercise physiology, human performance, and athletic medicine in areas related to metabolism and nutrition. The ideal candidate will address complex problems related to human physiology asking innovative and applied questions using human participants that will provide generalizable benefits for people across ages, abilities, and health. They will contribute to transdisciplinary collaboration in education and research efforts at the UO related to sport, wellness, and human performance.

Desirable areas of expertise include: female athlete nutrition and metabolism; metabolism and nutrition in sport and performance; sex differences and training optimization with nutritional interventions; nutrition interventions to optimize wellness; precision nutrition; integrative and functional nutrition and metabolism; nutritional strategies for menopausal transitions; nutrition across the lifespan.

Sports Dietitian (Private Practice) – Brisbane

Ideal Nutrition is looking for a Sports Dietitian interested in a part-time role with their private practice.

This role will involve working face-to-face and online with clients. The business is located within a powerlifting gym, so an interest in strength training would be beneficial. But clients will be a mix of athletes of all kinds including endurance and team sports as well.

You will be working alongside a team of eight other dietitians, so there is a team environment to bounce ideas off and learn from one another too.

In addition to seeing clients, producing social media content is also part of the role too.

Zone 34 Sports Physiotherapy is a busy multidisciplinary practice in Sydney’s inner west.  They are looking for an Accredited Practising Dietitian with additional training in Sports Nutrition. The ideal candidate will be an Accredited or Provisional Sports Dietitian.

On offer initially is one clinic per week on a Saturday morning (immediate start), and annual leave cover – 1 to 2 clinics per week.

Dietitian Intern – St George Illawarra Dragons

The St George Illawarra Dragons have an opportunity for a dietitian intern to gain experience during Jan-Mar 2024. This would be a wonderful opportunity for a new graduate/early career dietitian with an interest in gaining experience in a professional sporting environment.

The internship will be located at the club (located in Wollongong, NSW) and be set around 1-2 mornings each week for 4-5 hours per day. The intern will not only gain invaluable experience but also have direct supervision and mentoring from the senior dietitian.
